Precarious Health: Undocumented immigration & Health Care in Canada

Analyzing policy documents and community research, the paper demonstrates how linking health care eligibility to legal immigration status creates significant legal, financial, and psychosocial barriers for this population. The study concludes that this policy choice leads to profound health inequities, undermining both stated Canadian humanitarian principles and broader public health goals for a growing segment of the population.
